About Us

Who We Are

Life In Christ Community Church is a non-denominational church that focuses solely on the Word of God and yields to the presence of the Holy Spirit.  We are passionate in helping others come to know Jesus, grow in their faith, as Jesus commanded in the Great Commission, share the love of Jesus with everyone around us.

History Of The Church

In the 1980’s the Charlie Star building, which sat at the opposite end of the parking lot, was later turned into a chapel, and pastored by Bill Jennings.  After that Living Faith! was born through Dave and Penny Reeves.

The new building, as it is today, was built in 2002 as Freedom Road Ministries with Paul (and Julia) Nicholes as Senior Pastor. Some time later Don and Kathy Williams took over and then Pastor Joe and Rita Chapman took over for several years and continued their work with The Eagle and The Dove Ministries for children.

Pastor Jeremiah Taylor later changed the name to New Life of Springfield in 2012.  Shortly after, he turned the reigns over to Pastor Miguel Ten, the current pastor.  He took over in the fall of 2012 and changed the name to Life in Christ Community Church in 2020.

This church has a long history of faithful men and women serving God’s people and the community around them.

What To Expect

Our service starts at 10:30 am with the most important part of the service, and that is worshiping our Lord and Savior.  We sing, dance, praise, and honor the one that gave us not only life, but rescued us, forgave us, restored us, and is right now making a place for us in Heaven for all of eternity!

During this time we greet each other in the name of Jesus, share any announcements the church leadership may have and participate in a declaration of our faith in the Lord Jesus as we bring our offerings to Him.

After worship and prayer, children are released to their classes and a Bible-based message is given by Pastor Miguel, followed by a time of prayer.

On the first Sunday of every month, we partake in Communion to reflect back on Jesus’ sacrifice for us.

There is no particular dress code, come as you are, we just ask that you do indeed wear clothing.

You are also welcome to join us prior to service for fellowship in our cafeteria which includes breakfast and coffee starting at 10.
